Ashlie is a Black /Tan, 6 month old, female-spayed German Shepherd. Ashlie's story is a surprising new one to rescue. Humans never cease to amaze us.

Some previous owner wrote Ashlie's birthday and her puppy vaccine dates on an envelope and attached it to her collar and then let her loose to dump her. Lucky for her she avoided being hit by cars and trucks and happened to find a wonderful human in rescue who contacted purebred rescue.

Ashlie was a little thin, but no worse for wear. She has endured stress and hunger and is now looking for a loving home forever. Her little ears have a strong base, but haven't gone up. Stress and malnutrition can cause floppiness, as can poor breeding. We do not know which yet, so they may come up still.

We are searching for a home that just doesn't care and will love her forever either way. She is a beautiful, wonderful, sweet, gentle, and sparkling clean puppy. Please consider her for your new best friend, she'd love to be home in time for a stocking on the fireplace and presents under the tree. She would also love a small Hanukkah gift everyday for the next week, but it appears we are too late for that!

Please fill out an application and make a viewing appointment if you would like to adopt Ashlie. She is available for an indoor only home.
