Kermit

Bio Update Dec 2004

Kermit celebrated his 1st birthday in rescue. After being born on a concrete floor of a Kentucky pound in July of 2003, he has been left alone after his sisters and mom have all been adopted through no fault of his own, other than being a Boxer mix and not a German Shepherd. He is aging in rescue. He is still happy go-lucky, but grows more and more stir crazy. He knows there is more to life than what rescue can offer, but doesn't know what that is.

He is high energy with a 4 foot vertical. He would adore an agility family. He has been somewhat intuitionalized by being stuck in rescue and needs a home that will allow him a couple weeks to adjust. He does great inside, is crate trained, and is an all-around good dog.

He has only really known our vet and volunteers and will be confused for a couple days with new people, but cannot wait for the personal attention and love of his own home.

Please. We have reduced his adoption fee below the usual $200 to match the animal shelter's fee since he is a mix. All of his medical is done. He doesn't want to both be born and die in rescue. He deserves his own home. It is past urgent. He needs his own home ASAP.

Original bio:

Kermit is a neutered fawn/black Boxer/German Shepherd mix that was born (7/29/03). He is the highest energy of the four pups born to Zoe. He loves his doggy toys and running around. He likes to play "keep away" with his toys, but can always be enticed back for a doggy treat. He is looking for an active family that will keep him interested and involved. He can entertain himself, but must be supervised indoors since he likes dish towels and slippers when you aren't looking! He would be an outstanding agility dog with his three foot vertical! He would do well in a family with younger kids that are used to larger dogs or with a single adult that loves to play and spoil. Kermit needs a home without cats.
