Dogs adoptable from Private Individuals

Puppy is a housetrained, spayed, 6 year old, Chow Chow/German Shepherd mix that loves to be petted and likes a quiet household. She will "hug" you around the waist, and she sits up very pretty. She was my Dad`s dog. He recently passed away. Since I already have several pets of my own I will need to find a new home for her soon. Puppy is somewhat protective but is very sweet and loving with "her" people. She is reserved with strangers. Once she gets to know you, and if you are nice, she will want to be friends. She is fine with older children. She is up to date with her shots and is looking for a kind and loving, but firm, person to be her special someone.

Don't let this happen to you! Have a plan ready in case you are unable to care for your pet! Given the millions of pets that are put to sleep each year in our nation's pounds and humane societies, it is unlikely your pet will enjoy the life you promised them the day you took them home if you don't have a plan ready.

Your pet trusts in you, so make sure there is a friend or relative that is willing to care for your pet in the event you no longer can. You owe it to your pet. You also owe it to yourself to have the peace of mind that your pet will be well taken care of.

Logan is a neutered, 2 year old, male. He is up-to-date on his shots and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and older kids. He can be wary of strangers but, given time and patience, will trust anyone. Logan is affectionate with his owners and others he has learned to trust. Logan loves to play ball and is looking for an active home that can exercise him regularly.

Scrappy is a young German Shepherd mix pup that is owned by a family that can not care for her properly. The owners are willing to let their neighbor, (who paid to have Scrappy spayed and vetted), rehome her into a family that can better afford to care for her.

Scrappy is the only surviving pup of a litter her mom, Zoe, had this year. The neighbor also took Scrappy's mom (a German Shepherd mix) to the vet and had her spayed and vetted too. Mom, Zoe, has found a home. Scrappy needs one now too!

Scrappy is living as an outside dog at her owner's home. The neighbor would like to find Scrappy a doting home soon.

Don't take on more pets than you can handle! Spay or neuter your pet! A litter is much more costly to you and society than a spay—especially when low-cost or no-cost spay/neuters are available. Millions of pets are put to sleep in our nation's pounds and humane societies each year, so if you don't spay your pet, you are contributing to the throw-away pet population. Even if you find homes for all those puppies, most of them, may end up in a pound or humane society within of first several years of life.

Contact your local humane organization or email this rescue at for information about low-cost or no-cost spay/neuter programs in your area. Save lives by not creating more.
