    Residents enjoy the company of the rescue dogs.

    Discussed the importance of interaction between dog and owner.
  • Petsmart — weekends during November and December, 2001, Champaign, IL
    Talked to visitors about the benefits of adopting adult dogs.
  • Prairieland Feeds Pet Fair— September 22-23, 2001, Savoy, IL
    Talked to visitors about the importance of spay/neuter and the requirements of dog owners.
  • 2nd Annual Central Illinois German Shepherd Dog Rescue Picnic — August 2001, Urbana, IL
    Talked with previous adopters and prospective adopters about the joys of rescued dog ownership. Talked about agility and provided an information booth on various topics.
  • Champaign Day in the Park June 2, 2001, Champaign, IL
    At Carle's "Playing It Safe" booth, we talked to people about the importance of spaying/ neutering dogs, and about how to avoid dog bites by approaching and interacting with dogs properly.

Elizabeth Riddle, our rescue president, outside of her full-time job and continuing educational pursuits, is an animal behaviorist and an obedience instructor, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois with a specialty in Ethology (the study of animal behavior).
