Adopted May 7, 2005 Spike was a 2-3 year old neutered, black/tan, male German Shepherd Dog. He was a poor little skinny man looking forward to some home cooking and time on the couch. Spike was super-sweet. He was a gem, and made quick friends with the house cat and the other dogs. He only weighed about 55 pounds, but really should have been around 70 pounds or more. He was picked up by the police and kept behind bars for loitering. He was then held for his neuter surgery. He was then compliant and promised to seek out a family to keep him so he had been parolled. He looked forward to a lifetime of love and freedom in a new loving family where he could be a carefree puppy.
