Lil' Princess Photo Gallery

February 24, 2006

Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how great things are going with little Princess. It's like she's lived here her whole life. She and Indy play SO rough with one another, but seem to be finding each other's limits. Princess definitely benefited from her time with Germans [German Shepherds] because she knows how to outrun bigger dogs (there are lots of places she fits but Indy doesn't, and she knows them all). She knows how to put him in his place.

The favorite new activity award must go to the nightly walks after dinner. Both dogs basically lose all composure and start barking furiously and running all over the place, and into each other. Getting the harness and leash on can be a challenge.

... I could go on and on, but she seems to be having a great time. She really loves the yard and just seems to be happy overall.

Photos: Indy and Lil' Princess enjoying some couch time with their mom!

A special thank you goes out to Lil' Princess's sponsors: Nicolle White in memory of our Princess that passed on in June 2005. Michael and Sherry Eckert in honor of Noir.

Lil Princess
Lil' Princess
is a spayed, female, 4 year old White American Eskimo Dog. She was saved as a puppy by our group out of a shelter. She was transported to American Eskimo Rescue where she was adopted out. We were called recently by a pound where she had been picked up as a stray. We had her paperwork from Eskimo Rescue and we were able to figure out that she had been adopted out, given away 2 years later to an unknown party, and apparently they dumped her. Thank goodness for the AVID microchip which was able to trace her back to us where we could put a hold on her. We droves hours to pick her up after she had already run out of time! Now, she is resting comfortably at home, very happy, extremely sweet and pretty much a perfect companion.

Lil' Princess is housetrained, well-behaved, and an absolute love. You can understand why rescue gets jaded about humans occasionally. We want to make sure this never happens to her again, otherwise, she's welcome on our couch the rest of her life to make sure she is never put through this ridiculous situation again. If you can be a loving, a permanent, forever, without a doubt, most spoiling and loving home for our favorite little puffy white honorary German Shepherd, please fill out an application for Lil' Princess.
