Jake

Private families, individuals and rescue organizations in Illinois, and surrounding states, wishing to find a home for their German Shepherd Dog or German Shepherd Dog mix are welcome to use our Community Dogs page. They may provide pictures of their dog and give a brief history, however they are responsible for taking all contacts directly from potential adopters. The Central Illinois German Shepherd Dog Rescue assumes no liability resulting from any misrepresentations or adoption mismatches. All dogs posted on the Community Dogs page must be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We reserve the right to refuse to post, and may remove, any community dog from our website at any time. Please e-mail if you have further questions or concerns about these policies.

Jake is an incredibly handsome 6 year old black/tan German Shepherd.

He needs to be in a home where people will let him in when it storms. He, like many dogs, is very afraid of thunder and lightning. He likes the-out-of-doors and needs a big area to run around in.

He is very smart and gets bored easily so he will need to have things to keep him busy. He prefers to be with his humans and would love a home that has more time for him.

Jake's current owners did not intend to own a dog and have Jake because his previous owner was unable to care for him. They love Jake, but know that he needs more attention than they are able to give him at this time.

If you think Jake may be the new furry family member you've been looking for, then please contact Jake's owner!

Jake:

  • knows to go potty outside
  • is on heartworm preventative
  • is current on his rabies shots
  • is current on his other shots
  • last visited the vet on June of 2006.
