Thank you for your interest in rescue and choosing
a homeless German Shepherd to be your new best friend.
You must be 18 years or older to fill out an application. We do not
adopt dogs to minors.
We encourage people to adopt through a rescue organization. Most rescues are all-volunteer, as is this one. If you do not wish to wait wait several weeks to know if your application is accepted, we do encourage you to visit the following German Shepherd rescue for a quicker turn-a-round time on your application:

Central IL GSD Rescue does hope, in the future, to increase the speed at which applications are processed, however, due to other obligations at this time, this has not yet been realized.
Note that this application is ONLY for dogs available through the Central IL German Shepherd Dog Rescue.
If you found a dog on our Community Dogs page, you will need to contact the owner or humane organization that has custody of that dog. Our adoptable dogs are listed on our homepage or on Petfinder.
By choosing to adopt through our rescue, you are agreeing to our adoption procedures and requirements. Those families who live outside of Urbana, Illinois, will have additional requirements.
If at anytime you do not agree with our procedures or requirements, please feel free to adopt a dog from any of the hundreds of other animal welfare organizations that may better suit your needs.
Please fill out an application only if you are interested in a dog currently in our program .
If you are not interested in using the Match-a-Pet program or in adopting a dog currently available through this rescue, please do not fill out an application today but wait until you see a dog you are interested in.
