Fur Fund

The Fur Fund was begun in November 2007 to help us pay our ongoing expenses (not necessarily covered by our sponsorships) such as:

Food
heartworm pills
Frontline Top Spot flea prevention and treatment
worming medications
treatment medications
supplies (bleach, towels, cleaners, shampoos, ear cleaner, nail clippers, styptic powder, etc...)

Big expenses the last few months (Aug-Nov 2007) are

$600 in food, $300 in heartworm pills
$125 in heartworm tests
$50 in worming
$36 for each pack of 3 flea treatments
$96 in medicated shampoos
$10 in regular shampoo
$40 just in bleach

It never seems like much, but adds up very quickly.

Elizabeth Riddle, our rescue president, outside of her full-time job and continuing educational pursuits, is an animal behaviorist and an obedience instructor, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois with a specialty in Ethology (the study of animal behavior).
