Gretta is learning to swim with the aid of the "Magic Frizbee". [Mr. Max also enjoys a little wading in the water.]

Last night was our last class in Agility, so I asked someone to take some pictures
for you. She was so good, that they threw our butts out of beginners and
put us into intermediate for the next session. Man, she is so fast, she leaves
me in the dust. So different from running Little Max. Ughhh Hope you can
view these.

These show Gretta and Mr. Max at the farm where she totally enjoys
herself. You will see her bounding thru the tall grass (she is my "off the road" girl).
Max stays on the paths that I mow for him. I also have included pictures of
Buster and Ebony, the cats. Some of the pictures show some of the farm where
Gretta has searched and discovered pretty much every inch, including the pond.
The last picture shows how Gretta feels after a weekend at the farm.

Gretta has matured into a great looking 2 year old.
Gretta and I will be starting our 2nd session of Agility training and I must brag that she is doing better than I ever expected. I was afraid her bouts of "blondeness" may interfere, but she listens and does all the jumping and contact obstacles wonderfully.
I was at class last night and several people came up to me to ask what breed she is. Because of her coloring, one guy wondered if she was an Malinois; he just kept watching and complimenting her. I am not shy to say I got her from GSD Rescue. Anyway, she is currently under my desk snoozing. Agility tires her out.

Some pictures of the two kids I took at my farm. Gretta's job is to keep the
coyote at bay and away from Little Max, and she is doing her job well, as I have
not seen any.

Gretta absolutely loves the farm. She loves our long walks, runs,
and the pond. She chases the dragonflies, the butterflies, anything
that moves. She continues the come to work each day along with Max
and my brother's 2 dogs. Our business has become known as the "dog place" in
our business neighborhood. The mailman brings both Little Max and
Gretta treats, so that is an exciting time of the day for them. It
makes me sad to look on the website and see so many dogs/puppies
that need homes. I hope all of them find great homes.

She is doing great. We just completed our obedience class and in May will begin
an Agility class. She loves to run and jump, so I am going to channel that energy
with something fun. She is still a puppy with puppy energy. When her abundant
energy level starts to get on my nerves, I just stop and think that someday that
puppy energy will just be a memory. She is definitely a "MORNING PERSON".

Gretta loves going for walks at the farm. We have
162 acres of hills, ravines, woods, a pond and a creek. At every bend there is
something interesting to see or smell and she investigates every inch of it.
Some of the pictures show Gretta on the path along the creek.
Gretta is doing great. She has settled into our life. She continues to go to work with me and on the weekends, she either goes to the dog park or to the farm. Getting exercise is never an issue, cause we are always on the go. And she has the energy to keep going.
She is doing very well at obedience training and the cats are accepting her, sort of, although they are really happy when we leave in the morning for work. I can almost hear the sigh of relief from the cats when I close the door in the morning. I had the Invisible Fence installed, so we are now training on that. So much to learn.

We had a very important breakthrough with the cats this past weekend. She has
settled enough that my really shy ex-feral cat came out of the bedroom and sat
with all of us Saturday night while I watched TV. Gretta slept on the floor,
Buster the cat, on the chair and Max, Ebony and I on the couch. It was so nice
to have Ebony back with us. We will continue to work on the cat issue.
December 2005
This weekend Gretta will go over to my neighbor's who have over a half acre
fenced in backyard & 2 lab rescue puppies.
I started working with her last night with Buster, my cat. It will just take time for them to trust her, but we will get there.
She came to work with me and Max this morning and did fine in the car. She didn't want to get in the car, but that will change once she knows she is only changing her environment, not her home.

Ariel was a sweet, smaller, 10 month old, female, Sable German Shepherd Dog. She was just a happy go lucky girl. She was an owner give up due to the "we are too busy" excuse. Apparently her family was large and the mom admitted that the kids were mean to Ariel. Ariel was cautious of kids and moved to the back of her kennel, but she wasn't the least bit mean. She just wanted gentle love.
