Noir is going GREAT! He is really getting to be a snuggle boy---He loves to go for rides in the car and long walks all over the place. Hank is not so much for car rides, but LOVES being out at the farm with the cows and horses and sheep and goats! He loves to chase birds out of the pasture! It is TOO funny to see him out in the fields chasing the birds. He is growing, growing, growing! He has gotten HUGE since we brought him home. He loves to snuggle in bed with me before my husband comes to bed, but I think that we might have to get TWO beds so there is enough room for all four of us!

Hank does ok with the horses. He likes to "herd" them in the pasture, but needs to learn that they don't like dogs too much! Hank loves to chase birds and butterflies around the hay field. Noir likes to run around the woods and find rabbits, deer, pretty much anything with four legs that runs! Thank goodness we've only had one encounter with a deer so far...Noir comes back quickly when we call him (thank goodness), although unless he jumps over the fences, he won't go far. They both have learned to watch for the fences, as the fences do have some electricity to them. Enjoy the pictures. Love and hugs to all the doggies from Hank and Noir.

Here are some updated photos of Noir. He is really growing up to be a great dog. We love him very much! He loves going out to the family farm and running around. It really tires him out and he LOVES to run! He really likes to run around and bother the horses, although they are used to it as there have always been dogs out there. He has been such a great addition to our family. It has been one year now, that our other two dogs, Ezekial and Zechariah past away. Everyday, we miss them terribly. Noir has helped ease our pain. He is a beautiful puppy and we are so happy that he is in our lives. Photos: 2) checking out the rabbits 2) relaxing in "his" chair

Noir is doing GREAT! He just finished obedience school and passed. We will be starting again soon with some advance training classes. The teacher said he is VERY intelligent. Of course, we all knew that already! He still 's chasing balls. That will keep him amused for hours. We are playing with his soccer ball right now while I'm trying to type! He loves ICE! He likes to drink his water with ice in it. It's interesting to watch. He also has learned to open the lid of our coolers. He knows ice is usually in there and he can sneak some out to eat. I have some cute pictures of him drinking out of a water fountain. He loves to go for long walks at the farm. Last night, he chased around the chickens for about an hour and then we went for a deer antler search in our woods. He loves running around the woods. He LOVES the water too!! We bought him a lifejacket and took him over Labor Day weekend up to a friend's lake house. He had a BLAST! He is an excellent swimmer and made a swimming friend: a red Doberman rescue named Scooby. They played for HOURS!! We were probably out for 6 hours. He was SO tired!! He had so much fun though!

Noir sends his love. Right now, he is lying next to me on the couch resting. He's had a big day today. We went for a car ride and then played outside in the snow! We are enjoying Noir so much! He is just a ball full of fun! He still LOVES balls and we try to play for about an hour in the morning before work! My sister's German Shepherd, Sophie, is coming for a visit around Christmas time, so that should be interesting and fun! They are about the same age. Anyways, we hope this email finds everyone is good health and spirits for the holiday season. Best wishes to everyone's family.

He is just a great dog. We start obedience on July 28th. He is so smart I am sure he will do great and pass with flying colors!!!!! We have some other classes lined up to go to as well. He listens well and when we get up in the am and home from work we get hugs and kisses.

Here are just a couple of pics of our new "baby"! As you can see, he loved his orange ball so much, he popped it! We also bought him a neon green ball. He jumped and popped that one too! Last night we bought him a "JollyBall". He has already ripped the handle, but at least he can't pop the ball!

June 20, 2005
We did spoil him and bought him a BIG orange ball!! It didn't last very long though until he popped it! We took him down to our camping property last night. He seemed to enjoy himself! My parents dog, Jackie, tried to take him wading!!! He wanted to go really bad, but I just let him go in with his front feet!

A special thank you goes out to Magic Noir's sponsors: Michael and Sherry Eckert in memory of Ezekial and Lechariah.

Magic Noir

Adopted June 18, 2005

Magic Noir was about 1 year old. He was a black, neutered, male, German Shepherd Dog. This sweetheart came out of a pound. He was very gentle and just a doll. He had behaved very well, though his happy energy has bumped a few things in his excitement (including small children!). He liked to give kisses and loved to play ball. He liked to play and loved his meals! Our veterinarian seemed to think that he was still a little puppy and has some growing left to do. He weighed in at 51 lbs at the vet. Magic Noir loved to play fetch and chase.
