Waiting at the Rainbow Bridge
September 2007
Zane is now waiting at the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you to Zane's forever family for giving him a reason to smile and show off his winning personality. Zane's family writes, "[This is] a picture of Zane the day before he left us. We had no idea it would be Zane's last day running with Elka at the park. What a great dog. He was faithful and true to the last beat of his heart."

I really love Zane. He is already quite attached to Elka and me. He loves to be loved on and returns the favor tenfold. Zane wins over everyone he meets with his mischievous grin... it's really amazing! He just soaks up the attention. Just the other day a neighbor told me, "I don't usually like dogs, but I like Zane!" He is building up quite a fan club.

Zane is doing great. He is enjoying his walks and trips to the park with us. He also loves to visit my parents and sisters. He is a big softy who loves the attention from everyone. He has started to come out of his shell and play puppy games with Elka. It is great to watch. She prods him along and gets him to chase after her.

A special thank you goes out to Zane's sponsor: Steve Hitz in memory of Marah & Gretchen. Cheryl Smith in honor of King.

Zane

Adopted June 16, 2007

Zane lived in the backyard of a family for his whole life. He jumped his four foot fence and went looking for friends. His family did not want to reclaim him, so he went to the shelter. He hasn't found a home yet, but hopes he will find a family that will give him the attention and love that he has craved his entire life. He is a beautiful and good boy and deserves to have a family of his very own that adores him and will give him the fun and loving experiences that he has missed so far.
